A Review: Revlon Super Lustrous "Certainly Red"

Certainly Red
I'm a sucker for lippen. Especially red. Knowing I rarely wear that.. yet, I keep buying some. This one is amazing. A little bit pinkish in my opinion, and bluish.
The staying power is good. After some heavy eating, the stain will be there in your lips making you looking fresh. For a dramatic look or night make up, double swipes of this will make you look dazzling. Impressive and not drying at all. 3 stars from me, why? Because I don't like the packaging. Less chic, huh? But the formula and the color are awesome!

Only wear it once and planned to give it a go for anyone who wants it..since I owned a Russian Red. Anyone?

all review was based on my personal opinion, products are also mine.

Current Addiction : Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama in Black

taken with my mac, sorry for the bad resolution :p
Been years!
Or feels like years. Howdy :-D
My hair is already black again and I found several good stuffs that might not bite the wallet, too.
If you follow my instagram, it is Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama. Yes, I wore it in these photos. Free smudge (the most important point for me), extremely easy to apply, plus long lasting. It stays. Much better than my MAC eyeliner which can cost you three times than this.
The gel is not drying plus the color is intense. Good for any type of liner you wanna make. 5 stars from me! It's a HG.

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick #117 Almost Nude

It feels like I'm having a serious relationship with nude lipstick. The fact that I really fall for them and use them a lot though reddish colors suit me much better. This is another nude lipstick of mine and currently a favorite

low light
sufficient light

In a hot sunny day when you don't feel using way pinkish lipstick, this can be a great choice. It has a little shade of pale coral mixed with peachy touch. Literally doesn't fresh your look up, my mom always complains because this makes me kinda pale, but I insist on the fact that it is simply gorgeous.

Pros:
- very affordable, like $4 each here in Indonesia
- smooth
- doesn't make your lips dried
- classic packaging

Cons:
- poor staying power

I literally fall for this nude lipstick, this one is much better than the color burst series I ever reviewed. If you look for a neutral shade that is very affordable and smooth on your lips, this can be a choice but I don't think I will repurchase when I run out of it. Probably, I will look for the better staying power since I rarely do touch-ups.

Review : Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Blush #035

Just so you know, this is my first nude lipstick. I always fall for reddish tone and never give up on them but going with nude color literally can be nice sometimes. This is an old product from Revlon. I don't really know whether you can still find it on their counter. The newest lipstick from Revlon is the Lip Butter series but I haven't tried it yet.

I chose the shade Blush because it looked really nice on the stick, very natural, pinkish just like no lipstick lips.

It is also beautiful when being swatched as you can see above. Looks pigmented, glides smoothly on lips, and definitely moisturizes. The problem appears when I use it on my lips, it's just like I don't wear any lipstick or lipgloss.
It is literally my lips color, not even better and that's a bit disappointing. Choosing the wrong shade leads to a minor heart break. :-/
The staying power is about 2-3 hours, yes, you should regularly retouch it. The smell is not so good, just like another normal smell of lipstick.

The best thing about this lipstick is...unfortunately, for me, its packaging. From all of Revlon lipstick collections, this series bring out the best. Very sleek, elegant, and doesn't look cheap. On the cap, we can see the color of the lipstick and that makes it easy to find the right color we want to wear from outside the make up stash.

Pros:
-affordable, approx. $8 for each
-moisturizing lips
-available in many shades
-pigmented
-a little bit shiny after use effect
-elegant packaging with color sample on the top of cap

Cons:
-smells so-so
-low staying power

This one can be a good stuffs, a valuable one if you choose the right shade. Be careful with it.
All of make up stuffs being reviewed are my belongings and the review based on my very own perspectives, please share your thoughts and comments!<3

Review : NYX Eyeshadow Ombre in DANDY

I easily regret in buying make up. Especially, when the product is super-hyped, and then when I try by myself, nothing special. That's just frustrating.
But this one is different.
I bought this eyeshadow trio in November 2011. I was about to participate in a huge dance musical, yes, as a dancer, then I went around the department store looking for several pretty falsies and eyeshadow base. When oin NYX counter, I stumbled upon this eyeshadow trio.
This is very gorgeous and wearable. Don't you see that it's extremely natural? Yes, to achieve natural eyes look and light smokey eyes, this one can be the tool.

I don't really remember how many different types of set NYX got for this trio but this one is the most natural. NYX eyeshadow also comes in 5 shades in a set. Another thing that I love about this is the packaging! It's very elegant in glossy black. Very tight too, this palette ever slipped on my fingers yet it did not crack. It also comes with mirror and applicator inside.

See the swatch? Yes, like everyone has told, NYX eyeshadow is very pigmented. I swatched them all without using any eyeshadow base. Can you imagine how pop the color will be if we use the base first?
Dandy comes with 3 shades inside. Rich chocolate brown, white, and latte; they are all matte.
I sometimes use them to contour my nose plus cheekbone and they do just fine.

PROS

-affordable
-easy to get
-beautifully pigmented
-easy to blend
-luxurious packaging
-easy to apply for beginner
-comes with mirror and applicator inside the packaging
-practical and handy

CONS

N/A

NYX Eyeshadow Ombre in Dandy has got 4.6gr in about $15 but really you can get them cheaper if you buy on certain valid online shop. Like just half price. Shocking?
This is another HG product.<3

Review : Anna Sui Lip Gloss R Brilliant A Levres R #450

There are several reasons why I decided to make another blog, beside the long, close best friend, Xenon Flash. Well you can visit too if you wanna read and share about certain thoughts :p
The first reason, I've just found out lately, well not lately, I've been into makeup and beauty stuffs since I was kid, that playing with these beauty stuffs are definitely fun and that might be more fun if I share some insights and findings here.

The another reason is I love to look for reviews of beauty products when considering to buy them and somehow not finding the review I look for is quite devastating. Several products are so hyped out there that everyone makes a review about them and the rest are quite forgotten.
This post is more about the second reason. This lipgloss is DEFINITELY my favorite but I hardly find its review at any blog out there. :p

I bought this Anna Sui Lip Gloss #450 several months a go. I wanted a quite pigmented lip gloss with light and non-sticky consistency, and here it is. I went to several outlets with my boyfriend, yes he is very patient when accompanying me hunting beauty stuffs, like MAC, MUFE, and more but I could not find the lip gloss with criteria I mentioned before. There are A LOT OF, yes, A LOT OF, lip gloss out there and mostly, they carry sticky formula and not-so-pigmented. One SA (Shop Assistant) from a remarkable outlet said to me that almost all of lipgloss would be sticky, but I believed that I could find a light one, yet very pigmented. Here it is, my HG lipgloss.

Anna Sui Lip Gloss R Brilliant A Levres R #450 comes in several shades, but I fall for this one, deep red. It is VERY pigmented that you only need to use a small amount of it in your lips and voila, all of your lips look brighter and glossy. It cost me $17 for 7,5mL and the packaging is very beautiful. The more additional point is its smell. VERY NICE!

One thing you should be careful of when applying this lip gloss is do not put it too much because it is very pigmented. Just use a little swap on your lips and it will be nicely glossy with touch of red. Very good for natural look.

Pros:
- very pigmented
- non-sticky
- nice smell, very sweet
- tight packaging, strong
- can be found at any Anna Sui counter
- worth the price

Cons:
N/A, this is my fave

Anyway, all of the reviews here based on my own point of views and perspectives. All products are mine and not coming from several brand promotions or so.
